Dr. Frazee is the administrator with overall responsibility for Instructional Technology
Services. He provides leadership to the campus in the areas of dissemination and
adoption of new and emerging instructional technologies. He consults with faculty
concerning the development and use of technology-based materials that best meet their
instructional and research needs and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation
of ITS support services.

Jim Julius, Associate Director

Jim assists the Director in providing leadership to the campus in the use of technologies to enhance scholarly pursuits in learning, teaching, and research. He consults with ITS staff, faculty, and other campus personnel regarding evaluation, selection, design, and implementation of instructional technologies. Jim is responsible for managing various ITS projects and assisting in the management of the day-to-day operations of ITS. |

Rich Bakken, Coordinator of Instructional Resources & Technology Systems

Rich is responsible for day-to-day operation of Smart Classrooms, video conferencing systems, the Learning Research Studio and the Electronic Presentation Room. In this capacity he participates in the design, installation and maintenance of both traditional and technology-rich learning spaces. Rich is also responsible for coordinating operations at the ITS equipment and media checkout area, as well as SDSU Cable TV.

Bill assists faculty and staff with technical issues concerning multimedia production. He participates in the design and installation of technical systems for television production, multimedia production, and video conferencing.

Rob is a member of the Baseline, Access, Training and Support group (BATS). Rob is responsible for developing and conducting formal computer software classes designed to help the staff of SDSU use their PC and Macintosh computers effectively. He is also the designated Staff Computing Help Desk Consultant. Additionally, Rob consults with and trains faculty and staff in the use of computer software and audiovisual hardware located in the Faculty Room.

Jim consults with and trains faculty in the use of computer software and audiovisual hardware located in the Faculty Room. He advises faculty on the selection of hardware and software for various applications and acts as trouble-shooter for faculty having difficulties with computer-related projects.

Marco performs routine preventive maintenance and repairs audiovisual equipment in ITS's equipment inventory, and provides diagnostic and repair services for audiovisual equipment belonging to other campus departments. She creates illustrations, graphs, slides, charts and maps for instruction, research, presentation and publication. She also designs and produces printed materials including brochures, booklets, catalogs, invitations, flyers, newsletters and posters. In addition, she designs and produces web graphics, display and exhibit graphics, poster sessions and signage. |
