Instructors may now place an
"assignment" in any of the content areas of your course—where
you can upload a completed assignment in the form of a Word file,
Excel file, etc. to the Bb site—similar to using the Digital
Dropbox. An entry is automatically created in the Gradebook when you
upload your assignment. Your instructor can then grade the assignment
and post the grade directly to the gradebook.
From Your Course:
- Click on desired Content Area (Course Materials, Assignments,
Syllabus, Books).
- Click on the View/Complete link under the Assignment description.
- Type in comments as desired.
- Click on the Browse button to find your file on your computer.
Note: You may add multiple files by clicking
on the Browse button again and choosing new files.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Submit
button if you have completed the assignments; click Save
if you want to come back later to complete the assignment.
More Information
Q: How is the Add Assignment tool different from
the Digital Drop Box?
A: This tool is seperate from the Digital Dropbox,
although it works in a similar way. In the Drop Box, files were
uploaded and accessed through the DropBox for viewing and comments
only. Assignments are linked directly to an entry in the Gradebook
and can be accessed and graded from within the Gradebook.
Q: Can I add a second file to my assignment?
A: Yes, but only before you click the Submit button.
Once you have loaded your first file, click the Browse
button again to choose a second or third file. A Choose File window
will open. Locate the file you wish to add and click the Open
button. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Submit.
