Item Copy

What is Item Copy?

In each Content Area, there is a Copy button next to each item, folder, etc. This feature allows you to easily copy or move content and place it another area within the same course or in another course. Entire folders and Learning Unit can also be copied. Instructors must have an Instructor role in the destination course when content is moved or copied to another course.

How to Copy Content?
  1. Click on Control Panel link on the left side of the course site.
  2. Click on the Content Area that holds the piece of content under Content Area section.
  3. Click on the Copy button next to the content you want to copy to open the Copy/Move page. Note: If Copy button doest not appear, this option is not available to this content.
  4. Complete this page.
    • Destination Course –Select a destination course from the drop-down list. Only those courses in which you have an instructor role appear in the list.
    • Destination Folder – Click on Browse button to open the course map. Select a folder and click on the Submit.
    • Remove item after copy – If you select Yes, this item will be deleted from the current Content Area after it is copied. If you choose No, this item will be kept in current Content area. It will exist in multiple places.
  1. Click Submit button.
