Overview
The List/Modify Users feature allows you to view the entire class roster (with email address) as well as modify a specific user's role in the course. Typical uses of the Modify feature are to make someone a Teaching Assistant or to add a co-instructor.
How to List Users?
- Click on Control Panel link on the left side of the course site.
- Click on List/Modify Users under the User Management section.
- To see the entire class list, click on the LIST ALL button. The entire class users will be listed by the last name.
- To find a specific user, type their name in the Search field and click the Search button. Or click the A-Z, 0-9 button then select the letter corresponding to the user’s last name.
How to Modify Users?
Note that this procedure is often used when adding a co-instructor or TA. Students in your class cannot be modified to assume a different role. Data received from the registrar's office will revert them to the role of a student within a few hours.
- Click on the Properties button on the right side of the user name.
- Select a role for this user.
- Select YES for the Available choice if you want the user to have access to the course. If you select NO for this choice, the user will not be able to access to the course.
- Click on the Submit button at the bottom of this page.
