What is an RSS feed anyway? (or Atom - is this something dangerous?)
RSS (an abbreviation for Really Simple Syndication) is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works - such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video-in a standardized format. (adapted from rssinclude.com)

Some other examples: A blog using a tool such as Blogger.com, a Twitter feed, BBC news updates, Flickr, and much more! See example above.
Step A.
1. Create an account in http://www.rssinclude.com/
2. Find an RSS or ATOM Feed on any website that you would like to embed in Blackboard
3. When you find a feed you would like to include, right-click (Mac users can Control Click) the RSS feed icon and choose copy link or similar command
4. Return to rssinclude and click Create RSS Box
5. Paste this link into the designated area in your rssinclude account and follow the prompts
6. Copy the code under the Include! tab
Step B. (Within Blackboard)
7. Within the course, click Control Panel at left
8. From the options choose Course Documents
9. Select the Add Item icon
Under Content Information
10. Enter a Name
11. Paste code you copied from rssinclude into the Text area (see image below)
12. Select the HTML radio button
13. Click Submit

You should now see your RSS Feed within Blackboard
