Telnet Access to ITS Media Catalog
If you access the media Catalog via Telnet, you have the ability to verify that the media will be available at the time you wish. The web search only shows you the titles in the catalog, not their availability. If you have a Telnet program on your computer, click the link below:
Telnet to: itsnet.sdsu.edu (type in ITSPUBLIC for the Username)
How do I know if I have a Telnet program?
Many computers already have a telnet program installed. If you're not sure, try to access the Media Catalog via Telnet. If you get a screen that says "Username:", type in ITSPUBLIC. This means you have a telnet program. Telnet will give you a text based, terminal-type connection to ITSnet. You won't see any graphics. If you don't get a screen that says "Username:", you'll have to get a Telnet program.
If I don't have a Telnet program, how do I get a one?
One of the following Telnet programs will allow you to access ITSnet. If you are having trouble downloading the file, please visit their home page.
