Written in Stone: The Rise and Fall of San Diego has been awarded a SILVER AXIEM™ award for Educational Documentary. AXIEM is an acronym for Absolute eXcellence in Electronic Media. The half-hour documentary has also garnered two VIDEOGRAPHER AWARDS™ for Educational Documentary and for the on-camera presentation of spokesman, Dr. Pat Abbott, geology professor, SDSU.

Using animations, demonstrations and location video, the half-hour program traces the geological history of San Diego’s unique terrain and explains how the Silver Strand, Mission Beach, Point Loma and other well-known landmarks came to be.

ITS has also garnered three awards for their production of SDSU Month - Institutional, a :30 second public service announcement. The spot won an AEGIS AWARD™ Winner’s Trophy in the PSA category, a SILVER AXIEM™, also in the PSA category, and the Winner’s COPPER AXIEM™ for use of Graphics and Logos.

Although the above awards are specifically for Written in Stone: The Rise and Fall of San Diego and SDSU Month - Institutional, ITS-TV has won many other awards in the past for television production.
