Learning Environments staff members have been busy upgrading classrooms this past year! Whether you are new or returning faculty, you will want to get up to speed by reviewing our online classroom training course.

The above link allows you to self-enroll in the course. This course covers our various types of classrooms, including our new Connected Classrooms, with how-to videos and job aids on operating the equipment.

In many cases, access to SDSU classroom equipment requires a 101A key. Instructors are required to be trained in the use of classroom equipment prior to being issued a key. For more information please refer to the key issue policy.

Refer to our Classroom List to determine the type of room in which you are teaching. For information on building locations you may check the SDSU Campus Map.

Spring 2023 Virtual/In-Person Training

If you would like to attend a live training session, please refer to the schedule below for availability. These sessions are streamed live via Zoom or you may choose to attend in-person at the room listed.

Need Help with Zoom in Your Classroom?

ITS has a team of Student Assistants (SAs) who provide support for faculty in Connected Classrooms through consultation services, training, and face-to-face support for Zoom. Working under the supervision of the Learning Environments Manager, Boun Moua, these students are available during our normal hours of operation to provide in-classroom Zoom support.

  • Configure Connected Classroom mic/camera and podium equipment
  • Setup and/or review meeting settings or breakout rooms prior to class
  • Create and assign breakout rooms
  • Help with audio or video issues
  • Moderate chat and polling
  • Record sessions
  • Manage breakout rooms

IMPORTANT: SAs are not authorized to proctor or grade exams, assignments, or quizzes.
