Fun or interesting fact about yourself: I built my first computer in 2018.

How did you hear about ITS? Handshake.

Tell us about a notable instance when you gave or received help: In my previous AP Gov Class in high school, my fellow students wanted more communication with our teacher as he would rarely check his email so we would be left trying to answer our own questions. I took this as an opportunity to set up a discord server where the students could interact with each other in voice channels and text channels to help answer questions their peers had. I also stayed during breaks an lunches to teach my teacher how to use discord as a means to communicate with the students through weekly calls for review sessions and how to adjust notification settings for certain channels so he could reply to the students faster. This led to students becoming more engaged as they felt more comfortable talking to the teacher and most of them actually showed up to the countless review sessions which I would moderate.

Is there something specific you’d like to learn more about working at ITS? I would like to learn more about the inner workings of how an IT department functions with all the moving pieces and how they stay organized.
