Polly Card is a British producer who lives in California. She is Learning Media Coordinator of Instructional Technology Services (ITS) at San Diego State University and specializes in creating creative visual media for education. Polly is currently working towards a Ph.D in Education and is interested in the use of video to investigate identity in relation to race and gender.
At San Diego State University she mentors students and works with colleagues and faculty to design and develop award-winning instructional media. In the last year she has served as Panel Chair for California Arts Council ‘Arts on the Air’ Program, her team won the Enterprise Video Award presented by Sonic Foundry and an Award for Excellence and the Videographer Award for educational films. Polly writes documentaries for the Spanish Ministry of Education and worked as a film and radio producer with the BBC for 8 year. Her clients include The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, European Union, Runnymede Trust and Lord’s Taverners.
