We are happy to report that the IT Division recently published a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) page on its website in order to highlight and promote the unit’s diversity efforts. This website lists the IT Division’s mission statement as it relates to DEI, as well as the recently approved diversity plan which outlines the various goals the IT Division would like to achieve in order to create a “safe, accepting, and successful environment together.”

ITS Support Lead, Aurora Velasco, is co-chair of the IT Division Diversity Council. This Council—comprised of other SDSU IT staff and student assistants who meet bi-weekly—collaborated on the diversity plan and will continue to promote DEI events, trainings, and ensure timely completion of the plan goals.
